I still remember the time as a teenager just passing through the disco era and left with no music at all. Friends took me to a local pub full of 'strange' people listening to goth and punk. Let it just be the start of ASF. The first encounter woz New Christian Musick and I was stunned. Immediately I started to follow the band. Off to London to the basement of Rough Trade, their fan shop. Maximum Security took them to Belgium, my first trip to a ASF gig and 35 years later I still follow them closely.
Seen them a few times live, been backstage a few times and offered pictures from their gigs front and backstage published by the band. This album really is a trip down memory lane. And even teases us for the new album Possessed, sounds great...again.
An evolution from gothic sounds over to experimental tracks to techno back to basics with the new album, it's all there, even Garbage one of my all time favorites is on IT. And the band has seen hell, members leaving the band (Yaxi and Johnnie Ha Ha) in full bloom, great shows in the Rat Fink Jr (also gone) era, and sadly they had to bury members too like Doc Milton. But they are still out here on earth with a mission. They still have me in a maximum security with their OWN sound.
If you haven't got a thing at your cave from this band (should be punished) this is a must have, I play it at home, in the car all over the galaxy. Like Nik said once, and the band played on...hopefully
